A real Turkey at Thanksgiving dinner!

by Rhonda
(Nashville, TN)

My husband and I were flabbergasted by our neighbor's behavior during Thanksgiving dinner. The four of us are in our very early sixties, we are new friends and decided to have Thanksgiving dinner together, so we both shared in the preparations...it was just the four of us.

While enjoying dinner I noticed the man was dabbing his nose with a bloody tissue. It was obvious he had a nose bleed, but he continued to sit there dabbing when a drop of blood fell into his food and on the floor. He scooped up the piece of bloody food, wiped it on a napkin and handed it to his wife to dispose of. He was still sitting there when she finally insisted that he get up and go take care of it.

By this time, my husband and I were sick to our stomachs and all we wanted was to bolt right out the door and go home. We were horrified by his disgusting lack of manners. Neither of them ever apologized or mentioned the incident to us. We have not been back over to visit and have not invited them to our home since then...and at this point we feel like we never want to be around him again but don't know what to do. We don't know if we're making too much out of this or what we should do. Can you help?
