OK. Valentine's Day this year was our one year anniversary. We both had been married before and are 50+.
We had dinner reservations at the same place last year when we were married. I had on a long red strapless gown to be married. The restaurant is very romantic and has a very talented piano player singer with a dance floor which we enjoyed.
I was all dressed up for the occasion with a sexy black velour dress and a jacket that had red and black like patton leather on it (sounds different, but stylist). He had black slacks, a black sports coat; but, when I saw the shirt hanging I asked him-You aren't going to wear that are you?
The shirt was a Polo golf shirt, white with horizonal black strips with snaps instead of buttons.
I know the world has gotton more casual; however, it is good to dress up for special occasions. This was a double occasion of our first anniversary and Valentine's day at a very upscale restaurant.
He insisted the shirt was dressy enough; I insisted he wear something else.
SO do you think it is in good taste (or appropriate) to wear a golf shirt with snaps (I think the snaps makes it even more casual. I told him, OK I will wear bermuda shorts) to an upscale restaurant for a double special occasion?
