Have Courage

This is a personal story.

Once I was feeling rather discouraged when I felt my life weren't going well. I happened to be in a Kate Spade store, and picked up a luggage tag. There the words were "Have Courage", embossed at the back of the tag. I felt stunned for a while, because it was a timely word for my life. It felt like a God moment, that God was telling me to have courge! I don't remember why I didn't buy it, and later went back to try to get it but I couldn't find it every again. Not on their website or in their shops!

I don't have a perfect ending for my Have Courage story, but I will always remember that story to encourage myself, to hang in there and believe that it will be alright and my turnaround is just right around the corner.

Just like Kate Spade and her designers embossed 'Have Courage' on their luggage tags, I hope by relating this story here, you too, will experience a little encouragement to HAVE COURAGE.

I think growth is a mix of desire, courage and action.

When we were younger, we often wore our mothers' things and pretended to be adults. We couldn't wait to do adult things, wear adult clothes and even as a young adult, I often wished I was older so that people would take me seriously.

The desire was strong. Similarly, whenever we want something, for example: a change, to acquire some skills, a new direction, the "desire" in us has to be strong enough to push us out of our comfort zone. To be out of our comfort zone takes courage. To take action, is to actually actively pursue something, knowing that it might not work out. It is putting yourself out there.

To achieve anything that we want in our lives: We need to cultivate a strong desire, have courage and take the action towards our aspiration!
