Duty of Gentilesse, Courtoisie, Simplicity

It is my intention and, I believe, part of my responsibility to be the example of a Lady that I wish and expect my daughters to become. My concept is summed up as follows: the medieval concepts of gentilesse and courtoisie, together with simplicity.

I also take as a personal standard the following quote from David Weber: "... my duty is not affected by what others may or may not do to discharge their own." We are more than our circumstances make of us.
