Financial Motive With Planning Party

My step-daughter, who doesn't talk to me, emailed me about a surprise birthday party. She had already called places and had done most of the planning, but then wanted to know if I already had anything planned.

She said she would help if I did, of if I was ok with her plans that I could help her if I wanted. I'm sure she just wants financial help with the party. How do I respond to that?
