Long Distance Bridal Shower

My daughter lives 600 miles away, but will be married in here, in her hometown. My sister wants to host a bridal shower, but it would be almost impossible for my daughter to transport gifts because she is flying in for the shower.

We don't know how to handle the gift problem. My sister suggested gift cards, but I think it is in poor taste because the amount of the gift will be obvious. My daughter could register through Amazon.com, which will ship the presents to her, but I am not sure everyone is computer savvy.

Any suggestions?
