Refinement when being yelled At.

I would like to have wit, and peace when someone is yelling at me. I have a terrible tendency to retaliate and say something an elegant lady would not say. I ought to forgive that person, and be humble. Not to say, I'll let them walk all over me. One must set boundaries. However, I would like to do this in an elegant way and it is something I am truly trying to develop in my character.
