Second Marriages
by Leslie Samler
I have a quesstion. We recently received a wedding invitation from a relative who was married and divorced a little over 3 years ago. The invitation to wedding #2 included a gift registry card titled "If you wish to honor us with a gift, we are registered at the following, etc". Since we gifted this individual so recently, do you think it is in good taste to suggest receiving gifts for a second marriage? My feeling is that anyone who gave a gift at marriage #1 should not receive a registry card with the wedding invitation. For new invitees (those who were not included in marriage #1) I have no problem. What is your opinion? I look forward to receiving your reply. Click here to read or post comments. |
