My Comments:

For this book, I overhauled everything that I've ever written on how to achieve elegance. I've questioned several times over, 'how to be elegant' at every angle.

I've also considered the time frame one takes to learn elegant ways (Eliza Doolittle, from 'My Fair Lady' took 6 weeks!). I pondered over the emails, tried to answer the most common questions. I test out theories as I tried to put myself into the shoes of others and sought out solutions. As those things finally panned out, I arrived at 'Secrets of Elegance' as my conclusion.

To make it easier, I broke them down into a step-by-step process.

I also don't believe in one form of elegance. Elegance can occur in so many personalized ways, as long as principles remain.

I believe anyone who grasps these principles can carve their own brand of elegance from there on. It is like teaching a man how to fish. You can't box 'elegance in' by rules but you can recognize it. Pedigree, well mannered and well brought up children are raised by these principles.

I tried my best to include the basics because I don't want anyone to get overwhelmed and discouraged! Take your time with it and approach it with a life long process in mind.
