Speaking in Another Language In Front Of You

by Jason
(Orlando)

I have been having a debate with various people and in various situations. I believe it is rude to speak in another language then that which you coworkers or others around you are using. I keep being told that this is the person's choice and that it is not rude (even if I know they speak english). Curious in Florida

Extremely rude NEW
by: Anonymous

If someone can not speak your language, then it is not their fault and not rude, but if everyone can speak the same language and a few or many leave one party out in order to speak another language than that behavior is extremely rude.

Yes, it is rude to speak in another language in front of people who don't understand it. The only exception is when the person you are speaking to speaks that only language.
