Wedding Showers for Second Marriage

My name is Angela and I have a question regarding wedding showers. After high school I got married. My wedding was by a justice of the peace and had a small reception for immediate family only at his parents house. I never had a bridal shower never had a stag and drag etc.
Divorce was finalized 6 years ago and I am getting married again. This time I want to go "all out" and have the reception with everyone there and wearing the fancy clothes etc. I have 2 children with Tim the guy I will be marrying and I was wondering if it's ok to have a bridal shower for myself.
