Wedding showers

by Sue Winner
(Walker, LA USA)

If the bride is planning to be married in another state rather than in her home church and is not inviting the whole church to the ceremony -----

is it proper to schedule a wedding shower for the church people to attend??

bride's should host their own shower NEW
by: Anonymous

The bride shouldn't be holding any sort of shower for herself, that's tacky and rude.

However, there is no reason why a fellow parishioner whom chooses to host a shower for the bride to be, not invite other fellow parishioners, in case they want to celebrate the bride to be as well.

Wedding Showers
by: Dandelion

The wedding shower guest list must only be drawn from persons also invited to the wedding.

Otherwise, you're saying that while the shower guest is on the hook for a gift, she isn't important enough to share the occasion actually meriting the gift.
